FAQ:
Could the Tide Tie float over the top of the pole? Yes, the system would float off the pole if the water level rose to the top of the piling, but lets face it, if the water is high enough that it swallows your piling, you are going to have your boat out of the water and need a new pier. Does the Tide Tie serve as a bumper while docking? No, the system is designed so that if your boat bumps into the pole the cage is short enough not to touch your boat. Because the upper bumper of your boat comes into contact with the pole, the slope of your boat misses the cage. Does seaweed and barnacles grow on the buoy? Yes, a limited amount of growth will grow on the polymer buoy, but because it is very slick, you can use a simple paint scraper to easily clean it.
